NYX named Jessica Kalil its beauty vlogger of the year at the sixth annual NYX Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards in Los Angeles. Jessica will receive $50,000, a year’s supply of NYX Professional Makeup, and the opportunity to start a professional makeup artist career. Five runner-ups will each receive $15,000 and a year’s supply of NYX products.
“The FACE Awards is an empowering, unique program which opens doors for an extremely talented community of artists,” said Sarah El-Annan, AVP Integrated Marketing and PR at NYX Professional Makeup. “We are so proud of our hard-working and talented contestants and are grateful for the continued support from the beauty community over the past six years.”
Earlier in August, NYX teamed up with Instagram influencer Instaglam News for an event with free beauty advice and tips from a local makeup artist. The afternoon event took place on August 15 at the New York City-based NYX store near Union Square, a popular area for NYU students, millennials and fashionistas.
Fashionistas that attended the event were able to see NYX’s fall line, drink wine and eat snacks. The store was packed with those looking for beauty advice, searching for new products and colors and network with beauty industry makeup artists and stylists.
NYX has become a favorite for beauty lovers looking for bright colors and affordable pricing. In addition to its commitment to beauty, the company has been boosting the technology in its stores. In 2016 NYX opened a digitally-enabled stores in select California areas.
